A Ship of Honor

Seven and a Half Tons of Steel
By Janet Nolan

September 11, 2001 is a day that no American will ever forget. A whole country watched in horror as the World Trade Center fell. We cried as a country. While workers worked in Ground Zero, they removed a seven and a half ton steel beam that was once a part of the World Trade Center. That beam was melted down and became the bow of the Navy ship USS New York. This is the story of that very special ship.

#Goldilocks: A Hashtag Cautionary Tale
By: Jeanne Willis

Goldilocks was getting a lot of hits posting everyday things, but then the "likes" start to slow. Goldilocks had to do something to boost her "likes" and that's when she found the house of the three bears! After breaking an entering, she found a lot to post to social media and get those fans that she so desperately needed. Goldilocks also found herself in a loads of trouble. This is a great book to talk about how far you should go for the sake of "likes". Sometimes that road to glory will get you into quite a lot of hot water!
