What happens when a Christmas tree isn't feeling so Chrismassy? What if a Christmas tree doesn't want to be a Christmas tree? What if they don't like the lights or the people and just want to be left alone? What if the world changes and soon there is a neighborhood where the tree lot used to be and what if there are children who find that tree and see something special? What if the adults talk about cutting down? Can the children save their tree and does the tree want to be saved? 

This is a great story and puts a new twist Halloween decorations. Maybe we need more Halloween trees!

THEN Jasper found a creepy crayon that did his school work for him. In the Creepy Carrot trilogy by Aaron Reynolds, Jasper finds himself in comprising positions as he is haunted by everyday objects. Slightly creepy, but silly too, the Creepy Carrot books are great Halloween books to add to any library! The illustrations by Caldecott Medal winner, Peter Brown are amazing and have that Twilight Zone vibe. A total must have for spooky season!
